A new day at the fort.
A few deer visited yesterday after breakfast. They wandered the yard and gave me a glance before going back to grazing.
Looking to set up a time to meet the Internet some time this week for a beer. Also, a bonus: an old friend from Santa Fe now lives here with her family. It looks like we’ll be able to grab lunch soon.
It’s been years since I’ve spent days alone without talking to anyone in person. At first it was terrifying. Now I’m settling into it and finding it satisfying.
Writing letters I can’t bring myself to send.
The kettle is boiling. Time for coffee and oatmeal.
